About the Recipe
This is a simple, light chili recipe our family loves!
Could add extra veggies (onion, peppers) if desired.
Top with Eichten's Cheese
Ingredients
2 lbs. ground bison
2 garlic cloves, minced
1-8oz can tomato sauce
2-15oz cans chili beans
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground oregano
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Brown bison meat with garlic.
*do not need to drain off excess liquid unless desired
Step 2
Add tomato sauce, beans with sauce (do not drain) and all spices
Step 3
Top off with water to desired thickness (~1-3 cups)
Step 4
Let simmer for 20+ mins
